7 SEVEN STEPS TO HAPPINESS

happy

Have you ever been very hungry or so thirsty you could hardly move because you felt dizzy? Imagine someone in this condition of extreme thirst who refuses anything to eat or drink. If you say whoever does this is “insane”, you won’t be far from the truth. We take great pain to look good, feed well and take care of our bodies. But we shun or consider it outrageous to go the extra mile for our spiritual health. You must choose whether to receive sap or be sapped of strength. If happiness is what you seek, here are seven steps to take:

#1 LOVE

It is a reality that when God reveals his glory, he will only reward you based on your love for Him and how you have treated others (1Jn 3:18; Rom 8:1).

#2 REAL AND ACTIVE

It is not enough to desire to be better; you must follow through with actions. Seek reconciliation with God and start living the life of holiness God has called you to (1Jn 3:23).

#3 PRUNE

Like a plant that grows when it is pruned, you must shed off the excess luggage of sin that weighs you down. Avoid places and things that lead you to sin but treat people with love (Jn 15:2).

#4 BEAR FRUIT

Christianity doesn’t just teach you to avoid sin; you must live a life of righteousness. You must love God and others completely, mind, heart and soul, and not just because of what you desire from them. If you love for the wrong reasons, you are sure to get hurt (Jn 15:4,5).

#5 ZERO OR HERO

It is impossible to truly love without God. If you make your heart a den of hatred, pain and regrets, you are settling for less than God created you to be. You are a hero and you must put on the garment of love and holiness and go on healing others by your life.

#6 ACCESS GRANTED

When you place yourself at the service of others, you are disposing yourself for God’s blessings. You deprive yourself of true blessings when you act selfishly and complain of being unloved (Jn 15:7).

#7 CHRIST IS HOME

If ever you make anyone your Lord and Master in the name of seeking happiness, you’ll always be disappointed. True happiness is only found in God and others must be loved in God or they are not loved at all (Jn 15:5).

Make Christ Jesus your resting place, confront your weaknesses and make peace with your conscience.
